I am a watercolor and digital artist, graphic designer, and illustrator living in the Midwest.
I grew up on a dry-land wheat farm and cattle ranch in north-central Kansas where I unwittingly developed a love of landscape and vista. I have been endeavoring to develop artistic aesthetics and techniques in various media that allow me to express my attachment to the land and its inhabitants.
I attended Fort Hays State University receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Kansas State University receiving a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Communications.
I have worked professionally as a designer, art director, illustrator, and business owner of an advertising agency for 15 years before becoming an art professor in higher education teaching graphic design, illustration, 3D modeling, and animation.
